We have been working with Durham Logistics College now for over a year on the delivery of the CIPS programmes to a wide range of staff with in the procurement team. We are running both foundation and certificate courses as well as a number of short courses that have enabled staff to gain basic procurement knowledge as well as fell out if the CIPS accredited course is suitable for them.
DLC have performed very well to date, one of their bigger strengths being the flexibility they offer. They are a very approachable organisation and have a very hands on approach. The tutors DLC have provided us to date have been very knowledgeable and professional and i would not hesitate to recommend them.
We have just been awarded Beacon status for procurement, and our commitment to staff training and our partnership with DLC has definitely played a part in this.

This is to confirm and thank Durham Logistics College for the outstanding contribution that has been made to develop our business. Durham Logistics College lead by Kevin Rumfitt has supported our Supply chain development program. This was carried out with great professionalism delivering real benifits to the business.
Areas covered by the program included supplier evaluation, customer services, materials control, planning and inventory. Each area was analysed using the assessment technique developed by the college. A specific program of investment was introduced and support in delivering this program was provided. Key competences where also assessed along with key members of staff. With the end result being a number of key recommendations and support with implementation.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the college for consultancy, business assessment and staff development.
